OWN Hires SVP for Scheduling & Acquisitions

LOS ANGELES: Scott Garner is taking on the role of senior VP for scheduling and acquisitions at OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.

Garner is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning and scheduling of the channel, along with off-network, first-run and feature acquisitions. He most recently served as the senior VP of planning, scheduling and acquisitions at Lifetime Networks. He also led the Lifetime Movie Network. Prior to this, Garner had a long tenure at Disney Channel Worldwide. At OWN, he reports to John MacDonald, chief operating officer and executive VP of programming and digital.
