Outright Signs First-Look Deal with Title Role Productions

LONDON: Outright Distribution will have an exclusive first look over all Title Role Productions’ newly commissioned product for 18 months, and will secure ten-year distribution rights for shows coming through under the deal.

Outright has also invested an advance for the second season of Title Role’s Crimes That Shook Britain. The 6×1-hour re-commission for The Crime & Investigation Network is currently in preproduction. Outright already distributes the first season and has sold the show in, among other territories, Australia, France, Denmark, Sweden and Latin America. The advance is helping to fund a second season in HD.

The managing director of Title Role, Helen Tonge, said of the deal: "We were delighted to be approached by Outright for this deal and look forward to working with them on future projects. Title Role’s slate is expanding and we have a busy year. This is the prefect time for both companies to work hand in hand."

Chris Bonney, the managing director of Outright Distribution, added: “Title Role has a very talented team and is already a leader in the factual crime genre and has strong ambitions to grow across genres and geographically. We’re delighted to be assisting them with those objectives.”
