Outright Distribution Secures New Deals for Third-Party Product

LONDON, February 20: Outright
Distribution, formerly Screentime Partners, has secured sales around the world
for Grape Escape and Counter
Culture
, two factual properties
from its finished third-party programming slate.

Grape Escape, a 10×30-minute series that chronicles the story of
one man’s dream to buy and transform a vineyard in South Africa and produce a
world-beating wine, has been licensed to the Wine Network for the U.S. and
Asia, the Asian Food Channel, Discovery Real Time in France and Italy, Discovery
Travel & Living in the Pacific Rim and the brand new cable and satellite
broadcaster ManagemenTV in Latin America. The series had been launched at
MIPCOM last year.

Outright Distribution has
also licensed the 6×30-minute series Counter Culture to ATV in Hong Kong, Channel 8 in Israel and
ManagemenTV in Latin America. Prior to this recent slew of deals, the series,
which was an original production of BBC Four, had already been licensed into
Sweden and Australia. Produced by Moonbeam Films and Winkontent, the series
analyzes our retail society and obsession with brands.

Chris Bonney, the CEO of
Outright Distribution, commented: “Our third-party distribution activity is
integral to Outright’s business plan and we’re very focused on driving revenues
from this source for the benefit of our producers as well as ourselves. I’m
pleased to see this happening with specialist appeal shows like Grape Escape and Counter Culture.”
