Oasis Unveils Youth-Skewing Programming Slate

LOS ANGELES/TORONTO,
October 6: Finn on the Fly is a
highlight of the more than 3,000 hours of programming from Oasis International
for buyers at MIPCOM, and the film’s canine star, Eddie, will make a special
appearance in Cannes to promote the feature.

Finn on the Fly follows Ben and his best friend, who is a border
collie, as they encounter a mad-science experiment. Also from Oasis is Taste
Buds
, which encourages children to
think about what they eat and explores exotic foods from around the world.

The documentary-style
series Heads Up! helps answer
some of life’s most puzzling questions, with veteran science journalist Bob
McDonald taking kids on a journey through the universe. Bringing viewers closer
to the animal kingdom is Animal Exploration with Jarod Miller. The 46×30-minute series features some of the
world’s most fascinating animals.

The 60×2-minute See the
Sea
is aimed at nursery-age
children. The show brings the experience of being under the water by showcasing
the creatures of the sea in an entertaining and informative way.

Also on offer from Oasis
is Soccer Mom. The two-hour
feature follows a 10-year-old girl whose dream of becoming a soccer star is
shattered due to her team’s year-long losing streak, and then her mother comes
to the rescue, posing as a famous Italian soccer hero.
