NYT: News Corp.’s Business Network Secures Comcast Carriage

NEW YORK, November 7: News Corporation’s planned business
news network has secured a carriage deal with cable giant Comcast, according to
the New York Times.

According to the report, Comcast has agreed to run the
channel, intended as a competitor to CNBC, in its digital tier, reaching about
12 million subscribers. The channel, expected to launch some time in 2007, has
also reportedly secured carriage with satellite platform DIRECTV, in which News
Corporation owns a controlling stake.
