Nickelodeon Unveils New Programming Slate

NEW YORK: At its annual upfront presentation, Nickelodeon announced a raft of new programming that will be joining the network’s 2010-11 slate, including six fresh series and further seasons of 16 returning hits.

The new programs headed to Nickelodeon include House of Anubis (working title), in partnership with Studio 100; Victorious, co-produced with Sony Music and created by Dan Schneider; Kung Fu Panda, Nickelodeon’s second collaboration with DreamWorks Animation; and Planet Sheen, produced by O Entertainment. Further new series are T.U.F.F. Puppy and Bubble Guppies, an interactive, animated variety show for preschoolers.

There’s also a number of shows returning to the Nickelodeon lineup with new seasons. This include the live-action series iCarly and Big Time Rush, along with animated properties SpongeBob SquarePants and Fanboy and Chum Chum. In the preschool realm, Team Umizoomi and Dora the Explorer are headed back to the slate.

Additionally, five brand-new series will bow across Nick’s digital nets, which include TeenNick, Nick Jr. and Nicktoons, during the 2010-11 season. These include Gigantic, a collaboration with Reveille; Voltron Panthera Force, a World Events Production in conjunction with Kick Start Productions; and Dragon Ball Z Kai, developed by Funimation Entertainment. Also slated are Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, jointly produced by 4Kids Entertainment and Mirage Studios, and Dino Dan, developed and produced by Sinking Ship Entertainment.
