Nickelodeon Inks Footwear Deals for SpongeBob, Dora

NIWOT, February 2:
Colorado-based footwear manufacturer Crocs has inked a licensing agreement with
Nickelodeon for a limited edition line of footwear featuring characters from
the hit properties SpongeBob SquarePants
and Dora the Explorer.

The Crocs Nickelodeon line, expected
to hit U.S. stores this summer, is targeted towards children aged 2 and up. It
will feature a variety of kid friendly designs and styles. All Crocs brand
shoes feature Crocs’ signature Croslite material, which produces comfortable,
lightweight, non-marking and odor-resistant shoes. Crocs are sold in more than
70 countries around the world.

Crocs and we are delighted to bring this innovative partnership and our new
footwear products to consumers just in time for summer,” said Hal Snik, the SVP
of soft goods at Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products. “When you combine
the fun of Dora the Explorer and SpongeBob SquarePants with a colorful and
irresistible product like Crocs, moms and kids are sure to respond.”
