Nick Jr. Set for Latin American Rollout

MIAMI, April 2:
MTV Networks Latin America is to launch the preschool offering Nick Jr. in the
region, with deals already in place to roll the channel out in Mexico on
Cablevisión and Sky this
July.

Nick Jr. is expected to launch in Mexico with close to 50 percent
penetration of the cable market via Cablevisión and Sky. Additional
distribution deals with other Latin American platforms will be announced at a
later date.

The 24-hour
Nick Jr. Latin America channel will also offer content via video
on demand, online and broadband. As part of the company’s multiplatform
strategy, it is also launching the broadband offering NickTurbo Jr. in the region. NickTurbo Jr. will
contain ten hours of new programming each week, allowing children to watch
programming shorts and even complete episodes, lasting from 30 seconds to 22
minutes. Also, NickTurbo Jr. users will have access to exclusive world premieres
of some new episodes of key series.

Announcing the initiative, Pierluigi Gazzolo, the president of MTV Networks Latin America, noted:
“The launch of Nick Jr. and NickTurbo Jr. is natural next step to further
complement our brands in the region and provide award-winning content to
preschoolers in the Nick tradition. We are committed to bringing kids in the
region quality programming on multiple platforms just as we have done with
Nickelodeon for over ten years in the region.”
