NGCI Takes On Mountaineering Special

WASHINGTON, D.C.,
September 2: National Geographic Channels International (NGCI) has acquired the
broadcast rights to the one-hour mountaineering documentary King Lines from Shankly International.

NGCI will broadcast King
Lines
on its Nat Geo Adventure
channel, available in more than 40 countries around the world, beginning in
September. Shankly International, a producer and distributor of unscripted TV
programming, will continue to represent the film in other international territories.

Filmed in HD, the feature
follows Chris Sharma on a search for the most difficult climbs on the planet.
The program was produced by Peter Mortimer of Sender Films and Josh Lowell of
Big Up Productions.

King Lines is a visually captivating and adrenaline-fuelled
film,” said Carlyn Staudt, the VP of acquisitions for NGCI. “Viewers will be
inspired as they watch Chris push his limits on these stunning routes and,
thanks to the exceptional cinematography, viewers will also enjoy some
spectacular views along the way.”
