New Sales Manager for Globo

RIO DE JANEIRO: Globo TV International has appointed Daniel Djahjah as its new sales manager for the
Americas ahead of NATPE, where the company will be showcasing a range of novela
titles.

Djahjah will be
responsible for the strategic management of the region, including content
negotiations for all media and administration of the client portfolio. In
related news, Andre Meirelles has been promoted to regional sales manager for
Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Both will report directly to Raphael Corrêa
Netto, the sales director for Globo TV International.

The Brazilian distributor
is showcasing five new telenovelas for Latin American broadcasters in Las Vegas
next week. They are the urban comedy Snakes & Lizards, the modern drama Belíssima, the period piece Soul Mate, and the romantic productions Like a Wave and Student’s Heart.

Snakes & Lizards achieved an average 64-percent share in the
country and was broadcast in Portugal on SIC. Soul Mate achieved an average audience share of 70 percent
in its home market, while Belíssima
posted a 71-percent prime-time share.
