SEATTLE: There are ten new pilots from Amazon Studios launching exclusively on Prime Instant Video in the U.S. and LOVEFiLM in the U.K., including a project from The X-Files' Chris Carter and Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch detective drama.

The Bosch drama pilot is written by Eric Overmyer (The Wire, Treme) and Connelly, who penned the best-selling Harry Bosch book series. It is about a relentless LAPD homicide detective as he pursues the killer of a 13-year-old boy while standing trial on accusations that he murdered a suspected serial killer in cold blood.

The After is written and directed by Carter, and executive produced by Marc Rosen of Georgeville Television and produced by Gabe Rotter. It follows eight strangers who are thrown together by mysterious forces and must help each other survive in a violent world that defies explanation.

Mozart in the Jungle is a dramatic comedy that comes from Roman Coppola (Moonrise Kingdom, The Darjeeling Limited), actor and musician Jason Schwartzman (Moonrise Kingdom) and writer and director Alex Timbers (Peter and the Starcatcher). The project is based on the memoir of Blair Tindall, and is a story of sex, drugs and classical musical.

Transparent is a dark comedy written and directed by Jill Soloway (Afternoon Delight, Six Feet Under). It is about an L.A. family with boundary issues, in an exploration of sex, memory, gender and legacy.

Jeremy Garelick and Job Weinbach are writers on The Rebels. The sports comedy follows a woman whose husband dies and leaves her as the sole owner of a pro-football team. Executive producers are Ice Cube and Michael Strahan.

A number of kids' pilots are now available to watch, including projects from the award-winning creators Duane Capizzi (Transformers Prime), Josh Selig (Wonder Pets), Angela Santomero (Blue's Clues), Arland DiGirolamo (Sketchy) and Geoff Barbanell (Kickin' It). Among the pilots is Gortimer Gibbon's Life on Normal Street, a live-action series from first-time writer David Anaxagroas, who was discovered through Amazon Studios' open-door submission process. The coming-of-age tale is about two best friends and their exploits on Normal Street, an ordinary suburb with something magical hidden beneath its surface.

Hardboiled Eggs is from Capizzi and is an animated action-comedy for children 6 to 11. It's about two nerds who battle monsters born of toxic waste, Martians lured to Earth, killer vegetables and more.

The Jo B. & G. Raff Show is an animated series that comes from Selig. It was created to help teach preschoolers the importance of resolving conflict in constructive ways.

Maker Shack Agency follows the adventures of Wolfie, a 13-year-old inventor with a motto of "fail forward." He and his friends can build anything and create gadgets that help fellow classmates. The pilot was written by DiGirolamo, Barbanell and was directed by Alex Winter (Ben 10).

From Santomero comes Wishenpoof!, an animated pilot about a girl who has "wish magic."

“With our previous set of pilots, customers submitted thousands of reviews within the first few days and more than 80 percent of those reviews were 4 and 5 stars,” said Roy Price, the director of Amazon Studios. “We collaborated with some of the very best creators in Hollywood—and even some new comers that submitted their show through our open door process—to bring customers a wide array of top-quality shows. This season we have something for everyone with a mix of comedy, drama and kids programming—we can’t wait to hear what customers think.”
