New Merchandise Deals for Speed Racer Properties

SANTA MONICA, January 16: Speed Racer Enterprises has
announced a number of licensing agreements for merchandise based on its new
animated series Speed Racer: The Next Generation as well as on the iconic 1967 Speed Racer property.

IMT Accessories will begin rolling out indoor and outdoor
products in the second quarter of this year through its subsidiary companies,
Monkey Business and Street Flyers. Monkey Business will design indoor
furniture, including beds, storage and organizing units and tables and chairs.
In addition, it will make outdoor furniture such as tables, chairs and
umbrellas. Street Flyers will produce bicycles and accessories, tricycles,
skateboards, scooters, skates, protective gear, fishing rods and pool
accessories.

Meanwhile, Saramax Apparel Group has licensed the brands for
boy’s sleepwear, underwear, pajamas, robes, blanket sleepers and boxer shorts;
young men’s boxers, robes and loungewear; sleepwear and intimate apparel for
girls ages 4 to 14; and infant sleepwear, apparel, bottles and frames. Saramax
will begin product rollout in the first quarter of this year.

In addition, Star Ride Kids will produce children’s apparel
such as t-shirts, sweatshirts, sportswear, swimwear and outerwear for boys aged
2 to 7, beginning in the second quarter of 2008.

Other merchandise deals include Hanes, which will produce
children’s packaged underwear; Rubie’s Costume Co., which will design a variety
of costumes, masks and accessories to be released in time for Halloween; and
DecoPac, which will create cake decorating kits and cupcake decorations.

Speed Racer: The Next Generation is slated to premiere on Nicktoons Network in May.
