New International Carriage Deals for AMC/Sundance Channel Global

PARK CITY: AMC/Sundance Channel Global has signed distribution agreements for its international TV networks and VOD services with pay-TV platforms in Poland, Hungary, Spain, the Philippines and Thailand.

Sundance Channel has premiered on Mulitmedia Polska in Poland, where the channel and VOD service are available in a lectored format. The network is also being offered on the n platform, Cyfrowy Polsat, Orange, UPC Poland and TOYA, among other operators in the country. 

In Hungary, Sundance Channel will be featured as a subtitled 24/7 SD linear channel on Magyar Telecom through cable and IPTV services, and will also be launched locally on UPC. Spain’s cable operator R will offer the channel as a 24/7 SD linear service in dubbed format. It will also be available locally through Movistar Imagenio and Euskaltel.

Sundance Channel was recently launched on Sky Philippines as a 24/7 SD and HD channel. WE tv was launched on Thailand’s meTV in the same format.

AMC/Sundance Channel has also announced a handful of new films that were acquired at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. The linear and on-demand premiere rights were picked up for titles such as Computer Chess, Halley, I Used to Be Darker, It Felt Like Love and This is Martin Bonner, all of which will be debuted across Europe and Asia alongside the second yearly Sundance London Film & Music Festival in April.
