New Installment in Battlestar Franchise in Production

NEW YORK: Production is under way on the two-hour pilot Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome, the latest chapter in the Syfy hit.

Blood & Chrome takes place in the tenth year of the first Cylon war. Luke Pasqualino leads the cast as the fighter pilot William Adama. Ben Cotton plays Coker, a battle-weary officer to whom he reports. Joining Pasqualino and Cotton in the cast is Lili Bordan, who will play Dr. Beka Kelly, a Ph.D. who worked for Graystone Industries that created the Cylon robots.

The new installment was written by Michael Taylor from a story by David Eick, Taylor, Bradley Thompson and David Weddle and directed by Jonas Pate. Eick, Jonas Pate and Michael Taylor will serve as executive producers.
