LOS ANGELES: Shine International has notched up format deals in a further six countries for MasterChef, which debuted in the U.S. last week as the highest rated new series premiere of the summer.

Signing up for their own locally produced MasterChef are Star in India, Keshet TV in Israel, Iceland’s Sagafilms, Belgium’s VMT, Ukraine’s SBT and SBS of the Netherlands. This brings the total to 15 countries that have produced the show for their own market, with finished episodes on in 145.

These new deals come on the heels of MasterChef‘s U.S. debut on FOX, where the show features famed chef Gordon Ramsay. In addition to the U.S., Australia and the U.K., local versions of the production have aired on New Zealand’s TV One and Hungary’s VIASAT. Upcoming productions include Romania’s PRO TV, Greece’s MEGA, and the format has been optioned by Fremantle Asia in territories including Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam and Singapore.
