New Dominion Readies Two Docudramas for Syndication

SUFFOLK, January 14: At NATPE, New Dominion Pictures’
docudrama series The FBI Files and New
Detectives
, which have had very successful
runs on the Discovery Channel, will be available for the U.S. syndication
market for a September debut.

New Dominion’s partner, Television Syndication Company
(TVS), is distributing an initial package of 26 hour-long episodes from the
100-hour library of The FBI Files for a
weekly hour beginning in fall 2008. The first 100 episodes from the more than
250 half-hour episodes of New Detectives will be offered as a strip.

The FBI Files is
produced in collaboration with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and
takes viewers behind-the-scenes of major crime investigations. Introduced by
James Kallstrom, the series enters what has been one of the least accessible
crime labs in the world.

From the forensics labs at the Smithsonian Institute to the
ATF bomb laboratory and the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, The New
Detectives
profiles the work of
world-renowned forensics experts and criminal investigators and the techniques
they use to solve murders and other crimes.

“Audiences today are extremely captivated by the mysteries
of horrendous crimes and the pursuit of the criminals who commit them,” said
New Dominion Pictures’ CEO, Nicolas Valcour. “We packaged these top-rated
Discovery Channel series to be incredibly appealing to today’s curious viewers.
We are delighted with the success the series has achieved since we launched our
syndication initiatives last year and look forward to continued success, in
both the domestic and international marketplace.”
