New COO for The Weinstein Company

NEW YORK, February 5: Lee
Solomon has been named the COO of The Weinstein Company (TWC), based in the
company’s New York City offices.

Solomon will serve as a
key strategic architect, overseeing all operational and financial aspects of
the company, with specific responsibility of continuing to build up its
multi-tiered success. Furthermore, he will advise and direct the company in its
investments and priorities related to movies, TV, emerging technologies and
other new business ventures. He will report directly to Bob and Harvey
Weinstein.

Prior to joining TWC,
Solomon served as a principal at Grosvenor Park, where he arranged the
financing of some 28 motion pictures, as well as previously holding a role as a
consultant to film producer Edward Pressman and executive VP and COO for Quadra
Entertainment.
