New CEO for C More Entertainment/Canal +

STOCKHOLM: Jonas Eriksson takes over from former CEO Per Borgklint at C More Entertainment/Canal + in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland.

Prior to the appointment, Eriksson served as VP for Bonnier Broadcasting & Entertainment. He is a board member at TV4 and MTV Media, and chairman of the board at SF Cinema, Homeenter, Bonnier Amigo Music and Bonnier Responsmedier.

In his new role, Eriksson will continue to develop premium television by retaining existing customers and expanding the subscriber base. Meanwhile, the efforts to increase coordination between TV4 and Canal + continue.

"It’s very exciting and an amazing opportunity to receive this offer," said Eriksson. "My hope is that my prior experience with subscription media, together with my television experience both as president of Lithuania’s largest television channel, and board member at TV4, will come to good use in my new assignment to continue developing Canal + core premium television."

"Jonas has my utmost confidence and will be an excellent president and CEO of Canal +," added TV4 Group’s CEO, Jan Scherman. "He is the perfect person to continue the development of the Canal + basic business and his broad experience from both Bonnier’s and TV4 will be of great benefit."

In further news, Johan Kleberg, the former CEO of TV4 Sport, was appointed COO at C More Entertainment/Canal +, with a special responsibility for coordination towards the TV4 Group. Regarding the coordination process between Canal + and TV4, the Canal + headquarters will be moving to the TV4 offices this fall.
