New Central American Channel Comes to U.S.

EL SEGUNDO, October 24:
DIRECTV Más, a U.S. Spanish- and English-language programming service, has
launched Telecentro, a channel that features 24-hour news, entertainment and
sports programming from across El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Costa Rica,
Nicaragua and Panama.

Telecentro’s programming
highlights include Noti 7, a
Guatemalan news program covering national and international topics; Viva La
Mañana
, a morning show produced in
El Salvador featuring news, entertainment and general-interest segments; and Futbol
Telecentro
, providing coverage of
soccer matches from the national major leagues of El Salvador, Guatemala,
Honduras and Costa Rica. Other programs include Teledeporte, a Sunday sportscast that covers sports from
Guatemala with an emphasis on local soccer; Nuestro Mundo, a magazine show produced in Guatemala featuring
news, entertainment and general-interest programming; and Accion 10, a Nicaraguan newscast.
