New Carriage in Denmark for BBC Channels

LONDON: BBC Knowledge and BBC Lifestyle are to launch on the YouSee pay-TV platform in Denmark this winter.

BBC Lifestyle will preview on YouSee’s extra channel on November 1, with a full launch on December 1. BBC Knowledge also launches on December 1. The two services join BBC Entertainment, which has been available on YouSee since December 2008.

Ian McDonough, the senior VP and general manager for EMEA at BBC Worldwide Channels, said: “Denmark is a very important market for us and I am delighted that this new deal will enable us to bring an increasing number of Danish viewers the incredible programming that BBC Knowledge and BBC Lifestyle have to offer. The channels have proved to be very popular with viewers, and I am confident that they will also be popular additions to YouSee’s lineup from this winter.”
