Netflix Increases Offerings for Canada

TORONTO: Hundreds of new titles are joining the offerings that Canadian Netflix members can watch instantly on their computers and TVs, through additional deals signed with CBC and FremantleMedia Enterprises.

Agreements were also extended with New Video, Maple Pictures and Sony. Joining Netflix’s Canadian catalogue are seasons one and two of Weeds, season one of The Big C and the first season of Undercover Boss. Also available are seasons one through four of The Tudors, season one of Men with Brooms and the first two seasons of Republic of Doyle. The second season of Republic of Doyle will be available on Netflix the day after episodes air on CBC. Further offerings headed to the service include "Best Of" episodes and the last two seasons of Global TV’s Saturday Night Live and seasons one though five of Kids in the Hall. From FremantleMedia Enterprises comes seasons one and two of Merlin, available in the first half of 2011, and seasons one and two of Pulling.
