NBCU Takes Pay-TV Rights for E1’s Copper

LONDON/TORONTO: Universal Networks International and E1 Television have firmed up a deal that grants NBC Universal the exclusive global pay-TV rights—excluding the U.S., Canada, France and Germany—for the new police drama Copper.

The drama is slated to air mid-2010 in the U.S. on ABC and on Universal Networks International in all other territories around the world. Copper is a character-driven story centered on five young rookie cops who are just out of the police academy. The first season consists of 13 hour-long episodes.
