CANNES: The U.S. version of Prime Suspect, which debuted last month on NBC, has been sold by ITV Studios Global Entertainment to broadcasters around the world, with the drama to launch in more than 30 territories.

Among the broadcasters on board for the show are Nine (Australia), TVNZ (New Zealand), Diva Universal (the Asia region, including Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Hong Kong and Taiwan), Kanal 5 (Sweden) and TV3 (Ireland). Two broadcasters in Norway, Fox International and NRK, will take a shared window. The drama is also set to launch in territories such as Germany, France, Italy, Israel, South Korea and Latin America in the coming year. This follows the previously announced agreement with Shaw Media of Canada, which simulcasts the drama on Global.

Maria Kyriacou, the managing director of ITV Studios Global Entertainment, said: “Prime Suspect was one of the most highly anticipated shows of the U.S. autumn season and has quickly become one of the must-have dramas for broadcasters around the world. We are renowned for our leading crime drama franchises and I’m delighted we are continuing in that tradition by introducing Prime Suspect to global audiences.”
