NBC Showcases Midseason Lineup

BURBANK, November 30: NBC’s
midseason schedule will see the launch of new shows like Paul Haggis’s The
Black Donnellys
and the talent search
series Grease: You’re the One That I Want, as well as the return of The Apprentice and Crossing Jordan.

The reshuffling of the schedule
comes with the end of Sunday Night Football in January. As of January 7, Sunday
nights will kick off with Grease: You’re the One That I Want, produced by BBC Worldwide Productions, followed by The
Apprentice
. January 21 sees the return of Crossing
Jordan
to the schedule in the 10 p.m. slot.

Wednesdays are also receiving a
face lift, with Deal or No Deal shifting
to 9 p.m., while Friday Night Lights
will air at 8 p.m. Medium will
continue to air at 10 p.m. Dateline NBC will replace Friday Night Lights on Tuesdays at 8 p.m.

The new mid-season dramas Raines and The Black Donnellys will join the NBC schedule in the spring.

"It's already been a
terrific fall for NBC,” said Kevin Reilly, the network’s president of
entertainment. “Our re-build is in motion and we’re looking to maintain that
momentum through the spring. Although the second half of the season will get
tougher, we think the quality of our mid-season series will continue to fuel
NBC’s year-to-year story of ratings growth.”
