Liberty Global to Sell Belgian Cable Platform

DENVER, November 30: Liberty
Global has entered into a non-binding letter of intent to sell its Belgian
cable business to Telenet Group Holding—in which Liberty owns a 28.07
percent controlling interest—for 187 million euros ($246 million).

The closing of the transaction
is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter, subject to Telenet Board
approval, negotiation of definitive documents and completion of due diligence.

Telenet is the largest
broadband cable services provider in Belgium. UPC Belgium has about 125,000
subscribers.
