MIAMI: In its inaugural Miami outing, NATPE had 4,504 registered attendees, a 22-percent gain over last year’s event in Las Vegas.

Registered buyers reached 702, up almost 94 percent on the year prior. Registered individual stations, group or station owners and representatives were also up, to 285, an increase of 71 percent. These numbers are as of last night, and may increase since the event continues through the end of day today.

NATPE president and CEO Rick Feldman said of the strong performance: “We are very pleased to see a substantial growth in the number of people here at NATPE Miami. The general buzz of people doing business throughout the resort—from the lobby, to the suites to the cabanas overlooking the ocean—has been very gratifying.”
