In advance of its flagship conference and marketplace, NATPE has elected five new members to its board of directors, including Louise Pedersen, CEO of all3media international.

The other executives added to the board are: Peter Blacker, executive VP of revenue strategy and innovation at NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises; Kelly Day, the president of Viacom Digital Studios; Shahid Khan, managing partner of Meridian Advisory Group (MAG); and Nil Shah, the CEO of Verance. Their appointments are effective immediately, and each new member will serve a term of three years.

NATPE says the experience of the five appointees will be instrumental in shaping the focus of NATPE Miami, which is scheduled for January 21 through 23, 2020, at the Fontainebleau Resort in Miami, Florida. The conference tracks include the Station Group Summit, Streaming Plus, Brands x Content, International Focus, Content Innovation and Unscripted. Each track will spotlight its own keynote session, masterclasses and networking events and an inside look on the rapidly changing global content industry.

Also, for the second year at NATPE, top acquisitions executives will present Buyer Briefings—part of the exclusive NATPE Connect platform, which now includes an all-new A.I. matchmaking platform. Additional programming and executive attendees will be announced in the coming weeks.

“Given the current market dynamics, the NATPE board is emboldened by the addition of five leaders in their respective fields,” said JP Bommel, president and CEO of NATPE, who announced the appointments alongside NATPE Chairman of the Board Andy Kaplan. “They have first-hand experience of the profound industry disruption taking place today, and have demonstrated excellence in adapting quickly to these changes. Their wisdom and confidence will continue to shape NATPE as the leading global content association.”
