SINGAPORE: The Nat Geo Wild channel in Singapore is offering multi-language options—in English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil—to subscribers in both standard and high definitions.

Nat Geo Wild and Nat Geo Wild HD in all four official languages are available to subscribers at no additional cost. Nat Geo Wild was launched in Singapore in October 2006 to complement the National Geographic Channel. Nat Geo Wild is available to more than 30 million subscribers in 38 territories worldwide in 17 languages. The multi-language options are part of Fox International Channels’ efforts to offer localized content that is relevant to Singapore viewers of all ethnicities.

“More than half of Singapore viewers use a language other than English in the home,” said Avi Himatsinghani, the senior VP and general manager of Southeast Asia at Fox International Channels. “We believe that this multi-language options offer reflects the extraordinary multi-ethnicity that lies at the heart of Singapore society and marks a significant milestone in our endeavor to make our channels more accessible and relevant to our audiences.”
