LONDON: In commemorating the tenth anniversary of the tragic events of September 11, 2001, National Geographic Channel is presenting the world television exclusive of George W. Bush: The 9/11 Interview.

The documentary, set to air in the U.S. on August 28 and on September 6 in the U.K., features the former U.S. president talking candidly about the experience. It also features never-before-released archival footage and exclusive materials directly from the George W. Bush Presidential Library. National Geographic Channel also captured on camera, during the two-day interview, Bush’s real-time reaction to the announcement that Osama bin Laden had been killed.

“There were no politics, no agenda as he recalled what happened that day,” said Peter Schnall, executive producer and director, who conducted the interview. “What you hear is the personal story of a man who also happened to be our president. Listening to him describe how he grappled with a sense of anger and frustration coupled with his personal mandate to lead our country through this devastating attack was incredibly powerful.”
