MySpace Lawsuit Dismissed

LOS ANGELES, October 9: A Los
Angeles judge has rejected a challenge to News Corp.’s 2005 purchase of
MySpace.com, the popular social networking site, according Fox Interactive
Media.

The suit had been filed by Intermix
Media’s former CEO Brad Greenspan. Intermix is the company that sold MySpace to
News Corp. The lawsuit had alleged that the company’s directors did not act in
the best interests of shareholders when they negotiated the $580 million sale.
