MySpace Deal for Nuts TV, Adult Swim

LONDON, June
25: Turner Broadcasting in the U.K. and MySpace have sealed a deal for the
male-skewing channel Nuts TV and the adult animation brand Adult Swim to have
dedicated content channels on the social-networking site’s video platform,
MySpaceTV.

Launched this
week, both channels include a library of selected clips, with new content added
each week. The deal will include a phased promotional campaign across MySpace
over a 12-month period, including homepage placements of banners and buttons.

The Nuts TV
channel kicks off with the premiere of a 30×2-minute series called Belly
Dancing Mobi-Diaries
,
which follows the 10-week journey of the girl troupe Belly Dance All Stars and
is the first-ever fully filmed mobile series of its kind.

Tony Ragan, the director
of Nuts TV, said: “Nuts TV is a brand that absolutely lends itself to
innovation on digital media platforms. The fact that we’re filming high-quality
video mobile footage, then airing it online, followed by airing on the channel,
shows how new media can drive towards linear.”

James Fabricant, the
director of entertainment and head of video for Europe at MySpace, added:
“MySpaceTV is delighted to welcome Adult Swim and Nuts TV to its diverse and
growing roster of premium video-content channels. Debuting the Mobi-Diaries on MySpaceTV before they broadcast on air
reaffirms our commitment to bringing innovative video projects to our
content-savvy users.”

Alan Musa, the VP and
channel manager of Adult Swim, commented: “We’re delighted to be launching
Adult Swim on MySpaceTV and look forward to bringing Adult Swim’s unique brand
of entertainment to a whole new audience on MySpace’s dedicated video
platform.”
