MTVNHD Sets New Launches

LONDON/NEW YORK/WARSAW,
December 1: MTV
Networks International (MTVNI) will launch its high-definition channel
dedicated to music and kids, MTVNHD, in ten new countries, including the U.K.
and Israel, before the end of the year.

MTVNHD
is set to premiere on Sky in the U.K. and HOT in Israel, as well as across
Latin America in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Ecuador, the
Caribbean Islands and Uruguay. The channel launched in September in Belgium, Denmark,
Finland, Norway, Poland and Sweden and in France in November.

More
than 300 hours of original programming has been commissioned for the channel,
including MTV Top 20, a weekly
90-minute show that takes a look back at the 'best of'; Uncompressed, which explores different music themes every week; and
Chartblast, a weekday countdown show
hosted by actress and presenter Carmen Electra.
