MTV Networks’ GameTrailers Scores French Deal

SANTA MONICA/PARIS, March 6: GameTrailers (GT), the MTV
Networks-owned video site for gamers, is partnering with the MTV Networks
International brand Game One in France to expand its global reach.

Beginning this month, original GT-produced content will
appear on air on Game One, a 24-hour local-language channel about games that is
available on France’s cable and satellite platforms, reaching more than 6.5
million households. In addition, GT’s library of original editorial and video
game trailers will power Game One’s website, www.gameone.net, creating the
largest streaming-based website in France fully dedicated to gaming videos and
digital culture. At launch the site will offer more than 80,000 videos, 20
fresh daily videos and new feature sections. The Game One brand will also be
expanded into the U.S. with GT’s launch today of the new bi-weekly interactive
original series GameOne.

Jon Slusser, the CEO and executive producer of GameTrailers,
noted: “This new, on-air and online collaboration is the first step in
extending our reach internationally, driving viewers to both brands via our
high-quality, original gaming content.”

Game One is also working with another MTV Networks-owned
asset, Xfire, for the new series Arena Online, which will broadcast the biggest Xfire online events.

“This exciting launch marks the first time we have used
breakthrough video content and events from MTV Networks’ digital acquisitions,
GameTrailers and Xfire, within the Game One Digital Generation audience in
France,” commented Thierry Cammas, the president of Game One and VP and GM of
MTV Networks France. “These new assets will enable us to connect with gaming
fans in new ways, and we look forward to building on this cross-pollination to
deliver more engaging experiences for our audiences in the future.”
