MTV Launches New Reality Drama

NEW YORK, January 5: MTV will premiere Maui Fever, its latest addition to the reality drama genre, on
January 17 at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT.

The show centers on a close-knit group of friends in Kaanapali,
Maui, with no rules and no one to answer to. “The lush location, compelling
characters and classic beach movie vibe come together to make Maui Fever a totally unique and compelling viewing experience,”
said Tony DiSanto, who is executive producing the show alongside Liz Gateley
and Mike Powers.

The reality-drama genre has been an important one for MTV,
following the success of shows like Laguna Beach, The Hills and 8th
& Ocean.
