Movies on Demand Site Clinches Lionsgate UK Deal

LONDON: Ad-supported free movie site Indiemoviesonline.com, has inked a deal to deliver films from Lionsgate UK, beginning with an initial slate of nine titles.

Titles included in the first slate are the horror features The Mummy, Halloween II and Tale of a Vampire, among others. The site’s other content providers include ITV, The British Films Institute, Aardman, Beyond, East West, Firstlook, Screen Media, Cinetic, Hanway Films, Porchlight, Soda Pictures, ContentFilms/Fireworks and Content Republic.

"We have made a strong case for distributors of all sizes to work with indiemoviesonline.com," said James Rowley-Ashwood, Indiemoviesonline.com’s co-founder and COO. Rights Stuff, headed up by Wendy Bernfeld, handles the licensing of international content for the site, which has been operational since June of 2009.
