NEW YORK: Chris Loveall, a former Pivot exec, has joined AMC and SundanceTV as part of a newly created international programming group.

Loveall has been named VP of international programming for AMC and SundanceTV. He previously served as VP of original programming at Pivot, developing scripted drama, comedy and animation projects and overseeing the business affairs process for all programming deals.

Kristin Jones now oversees international programming and co-productions across both AMC and SundanceTV. Jones had been running international programming for AMC and played an integral role in bringing notable titles such as The Night Manager and Humans to the network. She continues to report to Joel Stillerman, the president of original programming and development for AMC and SundanceTV. Loveall reports to Jones.

“This team has done an amazing job moving AMC quickly into the international programming space, and building on the wonderful track record that SundanceTV had established,” said Stillerman. “There is so much great writing and producing talent around the world, and we’re truly looking forward to expanding our existing relationships, building new ones, and continuing to find the best stories and most original voices.”

Said Jones, “In additional to my role at AMC, I am excited to continue to build on SundanceTV’s incredible lineup of international programming, along with Chris Loveall. Chris brings solid experience to the team and will play an important role in identifying compelling international co-production opportunities for both AMC and SundanceTV.”
