What are some of your top properties for MIPCOM?

 

Following our strategy of providing the market with contents of different kind of formats, we attend this MIPCOM, firstly, with the exclusive presentation of Van Dogh, a preschool series, containing the elements that brought as so many good results with Boom & Reds, clear and pedagogic content with high-quality 3-D animation, which also allow us to improve our production techniques. On the other hand, we bring the LMN’s (ELEMENTS), an adventure series, co-production between RAI, TVE and TV3, with the support of MEDIA for TV Broadcasting, we finished producing one month ago.
Apart from that, and in order to complete the financing with pre-sales, we present the first complete episodes of our first slapstick comedy show, entitled Glumpers, in which we have great expectations due to its great quality of 3D, its hilarious gags and its multimedia potential.
Last but, of course, not least, we attend to MIPCOM with the commitment of closing the financing of Pumpkin Reports, our brand-new series in which we are actually involved with one of the big pay-TV European channels.
 
 
Why will these programs appeal to buyers?
On first hand, we provide contents for different targets and genders and due to our wide experience, we provide a certain trust to our clients. Apart from that, we are lovers of Animation as viewers. Because of that, we provide contents with high quality 3D HD that imply many work in I+D. But, above it all, we have the strong conviction that contents might have pure and good entertainment. Because of that, we’ve worked really hard to provide the market with brilliant ideas and the work of the key-player professionals in the industry.
 
 
What are some of the trends you’re currently seeing in this market?
On one hand, we are seeing that the demand of live-action contents targeted to tweens is increasing every year. However, we also believe there will always be room for fresh and innovative ideas for Animation. Now, probably comedy is prior to the market. But we also think if the concept is great, room for other genders such as preschool or action is granted.
 
 
What are your goals and expectations MIPCOM?
We expect to continue increasing our worldwide sales with the new contents and finish fulfilling the world map with the rest of the catalogue, confirming the good vives we actually have with our two projects Glumpers and Pumpkin, and as always, finding the best trends and ideas to get involved with co-production and/or to increase our international and Iberian catalogue as distributors.
 
 
 

Is there any other information you would like to share regarding your plans for MIPCOM?

We are really pleased to announce, that we just bécame a really strong brand in the licensing business due to our recent joint-venture with Rainbow Spa, that allows as to represent the licensing rights of series such as Winx, Huntik, Martin Morning and/or Pet Alien, amongmany others. Three months ago we founded Rainbow Spain, which we expect will give the producers worldwide the necessary confidence they demand to a distributor they are supposed to assign their content’s rights to.
