Moriah Films Producing Holocaust Doc

LOS ANGELES, January 25: Moriah Films, the documentary film
unit of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, has begun production on its tenth documentary
feature, Refugees and Bystanders,
centered on Holocaust survivors.

The documentary will trace the actions and personalities of
Holocaust survivors and their families who are actively working on behalf of
displaced and abandoned people. The feature will also explore lessons that can
be learned from the Holocaust’s history and also examines the press coverage of
the “Final Solution” and how it was either ignored or under-reported.

Discussions are under way with several well-known actors and
actresses to narrate various parts of the film. Cinema Management Group (CMG),
headed by Edward Noeltner, will handle the worldwide sales of the film, with
delivery slated for the first quarter of 2009.

Oscar winner Richard Trank will also write and direct Refugees
and Bystanders
and produce along with Rabbi
Marvin Hier, the founder of Moriah Films and the Dean of the Simon Wiesenthal
Center.
