More SpongeBob Sales in Latin America

LONDON: MTV Networks International (MTVNI) has signed new deals as well as a set of renewals for the hit show SpongeBob SquarePants across Latin America.

The deals for the latest episodes, as part of block deals and for renewals of classic programming, have been signed with Teleamazonas in Ecuador, Teledoce in Uruguay, Teletica in Costa Rica, Antena Latina in the Dominican Republic and Artear in Argentina.

In Honduras, the series will be aired as part of a Nickelodeon block deal with TV Hondurena, and as part of a similar deal with Venevision in Venezuela.

Additionally, Portugal’s TVi, Switzerland’s RSI and Italy’s Mediaset, via Cattleya, have signed up for SpongeBob, together with Serbia’s B92, which picked up more episodes.
