More Dos y Dos on Order

NEW YORK: The Latin America Multimedia Corporation (LAMC) has greenlit an additional two seasons of the live-action bilingual preschool series Dos y Dos.

Dos y Dos can be seen every Saturday and Sunday morning on LATV in the U.S., as well as in Puerto Rico. Rose Entertainment serves as international distributor of the series. LAMC is the rights holder and creator of the bilingual preschool property, and 4Kids Entertainment is its worldwide merchandising and licensing agent and brand manager. The additional 26 half-hour episodes are expected to be available for broadcast beginning September 2010.

In addition, Dos y Dos has reached an agreement with Peer Music to serve as its exclusive music publisher throughout all of the Americas and parts of Europe. Peer Music, Dos y Dos and 4Kids Entertainment will collaborate to develop merchandise that highlights the music from the TV series.

“These developments affirm the growing popularity of this unique property,” said Joe Lizura, the CEO and executive producer at LAMC. “We are tremendously grateful for the strong support from broadcasters and fans alike.”

“In a very short time, Dos y Dos has demonstrated that a compelling preschool property that celebrates diversity is something parents and kids have been waiting for and are embracing,” added Carlin West, the executive VP of product acquisitions and development at 4Kids Entertainment.
