Monte-Carlo TV Festival Plans New Initiative

MONTE-CARLO: The Monte-Carlo TV Xchanges, a new two-day conference that will feature round-table discussions and a lineup of keynote speakers, will take place June 9 and 10, during the 49th annual Monte-Carlo Television Festival.

The discussions will focus on topics such as international co-production, financing and the impact of new technologies on production within the content business. Keynote speakers will be announced shortly. U.S. and European producers, programming decision makers, financial organizations, government and regional institutions are expected to attend.

Other highlights of the festival will be the international television program competition and awards, premiere screenings, receptions and parties.

David Tomatis, the CEO of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival, commented, "The TV Xchanges are our response to the strong demand from the many producers, network representatives and talent from around the world, who have attended our event over the last couple of years. The festival offers the perfect environment for quality meetings without the expensive costs and necessary infrastructure related to a traditional market."
