MIPTV 2012 Set for Sunday Kickoff

PARIS: Reed MIDEM has released the final dates for MIPTV 2012, with the market set to begin Sunday April 1, rather than on Saturday, March 31, as initially announced.

In an email to the organization’s clients and partners, Laurine Garaude, director of the TV division, said that the market would run from April 1 to April 4 (Wednesday), with MIPDoc and MIPFormats taking place Friday, March 30 and Saturday, March 31.

"Due to the public holiday calendar in April 2012, we have had to change next year’s MIPTV show days to exceptionally begin on a weekend," Garaude said. "Following feedback and to keep our dates as close as possible to the usual schedule, the market will open on Sunday 1 April (rather than Saturday as initially announced).
 
In 2013, MIPTV will return to its Monday to Thursday schedule.
