MIPCOM to Host Second Annual Women in Global Entertainment Power Lunch

PARIS: MIPCOM, in partnership with Lifetime, is again hosting the Women in Global Entertainment Power Lunch in Cannes, featuring A+E Networks' Nancy Dubuc, Disney's Anne Sweeney, actress Emily Mortimer and twofour54's Noura Al Kaabi.

The lunch is schedule for Monday, October 7, at the Majestic Hotel. It is by invitation only. Dubuc, A+E Networks' president and CEO, will introduce the panel for discussion of the theme: the new golden age of television. Sweeney, co-chair of Disney Media Networks and president of Disney/ABC Television group, will deliver opening remarks prior to joining the discussion.

Also taking part are Mortimer, who can currently be seen in The Newsroom and is also starring in her first original comedy, Doll & Em, which will make its debut on Sky Living in the U.K. in 2014 and being presented by Sky Vision at MIPCOM; and Al Kaabi, the CEO of twofour54.

“The entertainment industry has a wealth of talented and powerful women executives, and last year’s highly successful first Women in Global Entertainment Power Lunch at MIPCOM provided a forum for these women to exchange with their international peers,” said Laurine Garaude, the director of Reed MIDEM’s television division. “This year, we’re delighted to welcome Anne Sweeney, Emily Mortimer and Noura Al Kaabi, with Nancy Dubuc and our partner Lifetime, as these exceptional women will share complementary experiences and perspectives on the new golden age of television and launch the discussion that should again prove highly enlightening and productive.”
