CANNES: The drama MIPCOM highlights from Content Television include the new eight-part psychological thriller Slasher, while its factual slate includes The Ivy and Prophet's Prey.

Slasher tells the story of a young woman who finds herself the centerpiece in a series of copycat murders based on the grisly killing of her parents. The company is also presenting the four-part miniseries Clean Break, a tale of love, greed, status and revenge.

“Featuring a fresh young cast and impactful story with broad appeal, Clean Break explores universally relevant themes, and how money, or the lack of it, can taint people and communities,” says Jonathan Ford, the executive VP of sales and distribution at Content Television.

He adds: “We have many shows being delivered in time for launch at MIPCOM, so broadcasters will be able to take their pick from a diverse selection of new titles alongside returning favorites.”

The company’s factual slate is headlined by the one-hour special The Ivy. Directed by BAFTA Award winner Adrian Sibley, the title provides a behind-the-scenes look at the famed London restaurant as it undergoes its first major renovation in 25 years. Content Television is offering that title for MIPCOM buyers, alongside Respectable: The Mary Millington Story. The documentary tells a story of 1970s rebellion, set against the backdrop of disco, politics and porn.

Prophet’s Prey, meanwhile, examines the life of Fundamentalist Church leader Warren Jeffs.

“Content Television has established a leading position in the international television marketplace, representing a diverse range of programming that consistently delivers high ratings and critical acclaim around the world,” says Greg Phillips, the company’s president. “Content Television has become a go-to distributor for high-quality, commercially appealing factual and factual-entertainment programming.”
