mio TV to Launch New Channel

SINGAPORE: mio TV is set to launch Jia Le, a new 24-hour Asian entertainment channel with content in Hokkien dialect and Mandarin from top producers in Taiwan and Singapore, starting August 29.

Jia Le On-Demand will also be available to subscribers. Both channels are $9.90 per month and included in mio TV’s Jingxuan Pack with existing customers receiving them for no extra cost.

The channel’s debut broadcast will feature the Taiwanese drama Lee’s Family Reunion and a weekend prime-time viewing of Hokkien drama An Heir of Love. Popular variety shows will air, including Happy Everyday, which features classic songs in Hokkien, as well as Top Singers, a competition show.
