Singh to Oversee Emerging Markets at MTVNI

LONDON, April 12: MTV Networks International (MTVNI) has
promoted Bhavneet Singh to senior VP and managing director of its emerging
markets group, reporting directly to COO Alex Ferrari.

In his new role, based in London, Singh will be responsible
for all aspects of MTVNI’s business in Eastern Europe and the Middle East
across its portfolio of music, kids and comedy brands. He’ll also be tasked
with developing MTVNI’s portfolio of channels in key countries across emerging
markets, as well as launching mobile and online digital platforms. MTVNI’s
emerging markets team currently operates 17 channels across the MTV,
Nickelodeon and Comedy Central brands.

Singh was previously deputy general at MTVNI’s emerging
markets group, where he successfully oversaw the launch of MTV Turkey and
Comedy Central in Poland. He is currently in the process of launching further
channels, including MTV Arabiya. Prior to joining the emerging markets group,
Singh served as the director of international sales strategy for the corporate
strategy group within MTVNI, where he worked on strategic international
projects. Before MTV Networks, Singh worked as a
consultant to Manchester United PLC, as GM at IMG TWI in India and as
the director of ad sales for the Discovery Channel in Asia.
