Millionaire Heads to China

LONDON, January 23: Celador International, recently acquired
by 2waytraffic, has closed new deals on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, including one that will take the game show to China
for the first time.

China Media Power will produce the local version, which, in
compliance with local regulations, can only feature celebrities, with all
winnings being donated to charity. China Media Power will produce a minimum of
104 episodes that will begin airing in May. The show will be seen in all major
cities in China.

Further, Buena Vista Television has extended its deal for
two years for the U.S. syndicated version, keeping that on the air until 2011.
In Slovenia, state broadcaster RTV has signed a deal to produce a minimum of 40
episodes, whilst in Slovakia, Slovak Television (STV) has agreed to a minimum
of 35 episodes. Formerly broadcast in Slovenia on Pop TV and in Slovakia on TV
Markiza, the show is due to re-launch in both territories in the spring.
