Spike TV Gears Up for Murder Launch

LOS ANGELES, July 13: At the end of this month, Spike TV
will launch Murder, a new series from
Bunim-Murray Productions that follows real people as they try to solve a
homicide pulled directly from police files.

The series premieres July 31 at 10 p.m. and a sneak peek
will be available on SpikeTV.com and through the Xbox LIVE Marketplace
beginning July 24.

Murder is hosted by
Detective Tommy Le Noir, a 27-year Arlington, Texas decorated law enforcement
veteran. In each episode, participants will have access to exact a replica
crime scene, a list of potential suspects and interrogation tapes, and will be
able to meet with a coroner to review the autopsy report. The participants are
given 48 hours to complete their investigation, collect and catalogue their
evidence and identify the murderer. Each group makes a presentation with its
findings to Detective Le Noir. After the presentations, Detective Le Noir
presents what actually happened at the crime scene and reveals which group
identified the correct killer. Each week, the group that made the correct or
most compelling case will have a donation made in their names to a selected
victim's charity.

Spike TV is also set to launch The Kill Point this month. The eight-part series from Lionsgate and
Mandeville stars John Leguizamo and Donnie Wahlberg and is set to
premiere on Sunday, July 22, at 9 p.m. The debut episode will air with limited
commercial interruption, the network said. The show focuses on two men as they
square off during a bank heist gone horribly wrong and the hostage negotiations
that ensue.

Spiketv.com has created original short-form broadband
episodes to coincide with The Kill Point.
Additionally, high definition episodes of the show will be available
exclusively for download via Xbox LIVE Marketplace. Xbox will also offer the
standard definition episodes, as will iTunes. The Kill Point downloads will be available after the on-air debut
on XBox, iTunes and Amazon.
