Malay Studio Closes European, Asian Deals

KUALA LUMPUR: Animasia Studio, a MSC Malaysia company, clinched a European distribution deal for its series ABC Monsters at the Asia TV Forum last week, as well as an Asian home-entertainment agreement on the 26×22-minute show.

Spain’s Neptuno Films will represent the show in Europe, following its previous partnership with Animasia on Kungfu Chicken. In addition, Innoform Media from Singapore picked up the home-video rights for several Asian markets, including Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Indonesia.

Animasia previously signed up Canal Plus for the Eastern European distribution TV rights, C4U Media for Korean distribution TV rights and Latin Media Group for the North and South American distribution TV rights.
