Macmillan Scores Rastamouse Publishing Rights

LONDON: Macmillan Children’s Books has secured rights for DHX Media’s Rastamouse to publish a wide range of products, including storybooks, sound books, graphic novels, annuals and ebooks, among others, to launch in the U.K. in spring 2012.

Created by Genevieve Webster and Michael De Souza, and developed from the original books published by Little Roots, Rastamouse the TV series launched in January 2011 and has become one of CBeebies’s top animated programs on the channel and the BBC iPlayer. The children’s series features a mystery-solving skate-boarding mouse and his reggae band, Da Easy Crew.

Rastamouse is produced by Greg Boardman and Eugenio Perez of Three Stones Media, in association with Dinamo Productions, Little Roots and DHX Media, which handles worldwide TV sales, excluding the U.K., and worldwide licensing and merchandising.
